The Wallaces: Restless Retirees
The Wallaces moved to East Texas from Wyoming in 2009; as much as they loved the scenery, they’d gotten tired of the long, harsh winters. So, they purchased one of our listings right around the corner from us. They have been good neighbors, too; Bill served on the board for several years and they made lots of improvements to their place, putting in a nice craft cottage out back where Terry could work on her amazing quilts, building a lovely pool, landscaping, fencing, updating their kitchen…they were busy! But after five years they realized they just missed the mountains too much and after RVing in Arkansas a number of times, decided to build in the Ozarks. With all the work they’d done on their home here in Country Place, and with the demand for homes in our neighborhood, we weren’t too surprised when, during a hectic first week on the market, we averaged 3 showings a day with 5 in one day! We received multiple offers one week after listing their property. So now, this great couple is off to Hot Springs Village to oversee construction of their new home and Zane & Carolyn Webb will become our new neighbors here in Country Place.
Our best wishes to Bill and Terry Wallace in their new Hot Springs Village home. We are looking forward to visiting them there!
