I enjoy walking in our neighborhood, Country Place, several mornings a week. I see some interesting things, too, including this beautiful juvenile copperhead on Lakeshore Drive. I’ve never been bitten, but it happens. One of my friends told me he was raking leaves, picked up a big arm full, and a copperhead bit him on the arm. Quick trip to the clinic and he was fine, but I made a note not to gather leaves this way.
