I have driven past many times on my way to fish Monticello, Cypress Springs, Bob Sandlin or Welsh, but if you find yourself on Hwy 271 three miles south of Pittsburg (which is nine miles south of Mt Pleasant in I-20) you may do a double-take when you pass Efurd Orchards and see two tractors parked out in a lake. Yep, IN the lake. No, I don’t know how they’ve done it, but it’s certainly a novel way to get some attention. They get attention for their homemade peach and sweet potato ice cream, muscadine cider, and Sweet Fire salad dressing, too.
