Relocation and Kids

Relocating for a job often involves a promotion, a move u up the corporate ladder, a new and exciting opportunity for Mom or Dad. But for kids it often means leaving a neighborhood they felt comfortable in, childhood friends they grew up with, and schools they enjoyed. Kids are adaptable, but it can take time. Recently I had an opportunity to visit with Kate, who moved with her family from the Houston area to a rural property in south Tyler a couple of years ago. Not only has she has taken to country life, both she and big sister Sarah have found new friends at All Saints. Oh, and Kate loves to fifish in the pond on their property. As you can see, she’s getting pretty good at it, too.
