The Stricklands: Referred and Retiring
The Stricklands were referred to us by our old friends and clients, the Duncans. Gary and Melissa had been in their garden home for eight years and were ready for more personal space. Gary was beginning to think of retirement from Schlumberger and he’s a man who likes projects; they also wanted more room to entertain their grandkids. So after some staging and market analysis, we listed their Hyde Park home. Meanwhile, Andrea began showing them homes on larger lots. After seeing a number of neighborhoods, the Stricklands decided they liked our neck-of-the-woods and when a home that fit their criteria came on the market (a 1+ acre lot backing up to a private lake), they made an offer. Soon they had an offer on their garden home and were on the move. Now, after doing some painting and adding a lovely swimming pool (shown above), we’re proud to call the Stricklands our new neighbors.
