If you’re looking for a getaway, as in way-away, Hawaii has one island with no stop-light and only 1200 people. On Lana’i you’ll have to rent a jeep to get around, but the golfing is world-class (The Challenge at Manele, The Experience at Koele), the cafes are quaint, and the ambiance is serene.
